It’s a fact: Aviation is an extremely successful and future-proof industry that is also financially sound. But of course, the autumn wage negotiations are just around the corner …
Wage Demonstration on 21 September 2024 in Bern
With the slogan "It's time for higher wages!", the Swiss Trade Union Confederation (SGB) unions are kicking off this year's "Wage Autumn" with a clear signal: a demonstration for higher wages on 21 September 2024 at the Federal Palace in Bern. Meeting point is at 1:30 PM at Schützenmatte in Bern. At the SEV booth, flags, caps, and more material will be available. It would be valuable to see a colorful group of colleagues from the aviation sector on-site, which will significantly strengthen our position in the upcoming wage negotiations!
BVG-Vote on 22 September 2024
Eligible Swiss citizens have the opportunity to choose the rules of our pension system. Together with SGB and other progressive organizations, we are fighting against the current "BVG scam" and recommend voting NO. Rising premiums without real improvements, disadvantages for women, and profit optimization for brokers and insurance companies? No thanks. Peko Elections Swiss
At the end of October, our trusted representative and Peko member Sandro Strimer will leave Swiss and is, thus, also stepping down from his position in the Personnel Commission (Peko). Therefore, a by-election will be held in the Technical Division (Electoral District 4). Thank you, Sandro for your commitment in the past years!
We would be happy to propose suitable interested candidates as SEV-GATA candidates. Please contact me by 8:00 AM on 20 September 2024 at the latest if you are interested, so that our recommendation submission will reach Swiss by 22 September 2024.
