Swiss PEKO General Renewal Elections
Wage Measures at Swiss
Dear Colleagues
The current CLA is terminable by the end of 2026 at the earliest. The wage negotiations have been concluded. The elections for the Personnel Commission (Peko) have now started.
Swiss PEKO General Renewal Elections
We have defined the participation rights of the Peko in the CLA, which is an important achievement, especially when it comes to the design of our everyday work environment.
Renewal elections are pending for the 2023-2026 term.
We are pleased that committed SEV-GATA members are fighting for their colleagues in the Peko. All current members of the Peko have made themselves available for another candidacy.
Elections are only held for constituencies where there are more candidates than seats available.
Katie Hertoge (member of SEV-GATA), Christian Widmer, Alexandra Brugger, Sabrine Müller, and Gabriela Vischer were elected in silent elections. Congratulations! We look forward to collaborating with you.
Elections are held in constituency 4 (technology). The four candidates for the two Peko seats are all SEV-GATA members. All our candidates are motivated to work for the needs of their colleagues and are recommended for election by the SEV-GATA Management Board. Our Candidates
Rolf Stamm (current, since 2015)
Martin Höfler (current, since 2019)
Cédric Steiner
Sandro Strimer
You will receive the documents for the secret election within the next few days. Do not hesitate to address the candidates personally and ask about their motivation and priorities! The ballot paper may be issued until 30 November 2022.
Wage Measures at Swiss
You have already been informed about the 2023 wage measures on 21 October 2022. In the meantime, in accordance with the outcome of the negotiations, we have agreed with SWISS on the implementation of the wage measures as of 1 January 2023.
General wage measure: All employees receive a wage increase of 2.5%, at least CHF 200.00/month (for a 100% workload). 3.3% of the wage bill will be distributed.
All wage bands are increased by CHF 200/month (annual wage x 13) – in the minimum and maximum.
Individual wage measures: 1% of the base wage sum is used by the superiors for wage increases in their teams. The superiors must take into account team structure and other factors when distributing this sum). The "Agreement on Wage Development for Employees in the CLA Ground Staff" of August 2019 will be revised in 2023. If we cannot come to an agreement, the one from August 2019 shall apply again.
In the first quarter of 2023, a report will be made on the implementation of wage increases in accordance with the agreement.
We have already informed you about the advance payments of the "Covid premium" from the Crisis CLA (CHF 2,500/FTE in December 2022) and the Covid "Thank You Premium" (CHF1,000/FTE in May 2022 and CHF 1,000/FTE in November 2022), the payment of the 13th monthly salary according to the Crisis CLA (in November 2022) and the variable remuneration for the year 2022 (presumably CHF 3,200/FTE in March 2023).
Dear colleagues, solidarity pays off. Thanks to your membership, we are able to further improve your working conditions. Becoming a member of SEV-GATA benefits both the collective and every single member on an individual level. Thank you for your trust.
Kind regards
