Pension fraud prevented
SWISS in the black
Consultation process with LTSW completed
General Meeting on 5 May 2010
Con men offside
Dear members
Pension fraud prevented
The clear result of the referendum exceeded all expectations: On 7 March 2010 the projected pension reduction of the second pillar was clearly rejected. The results of the referendum are calling for measures to ensure that people can lead a decent life in later years – in conformity with the constitution. This requires new and better performance targets for lower and average earnings.
SWISS in the black
While airlines around the world are on the brink of collapse SWISS presents its results for 2009, which look quite respectable: Deep black figures, full capacity and a balanced employment situation.
Consultation process with LTSW completed
Within the framework of the consultation processs SEV-GATA explained to LTSW management that they could do entirely without any staff cuts and bridge the current situation with short time at the moment. Alternatively SEV-GATA demanded that LTSW clearly improved the implementation process by offering other jobs within the corporation, by adjustinged reduced quota if economy-related measures were taken again and by assisting the employees concerned to be prepared for the labour market etc.
Even if LTSW hesitated to make a definite acceptance, their comments showed that they respected and acknowledged our proposals. (see our correspondence on www.sev-gata.ch also for download)
SEV-GATA will thoroughly watch compliance with the measures and intervene as soon as they are violated. Your feedback is very important in this matter!
General Meeting 5 May 2010
An invitation to our annual general meeting on Wednesday, 5 May 2010 at 18.15h in Olten has been sent to all members by post. It is also open for download on our website. Attention: The closing date is 30 April 2010, please don’t miss it.
Con men offside
After the victory over the pension fraud we must now stand up to the excessive methods of con men. There are just two initiatives aiming at putting people with a self-service mentality in their place. Swiss citizen will have the right to vote. Existing funds must improve the wages of all employed. This is urgently needed in aviation industry.
With committed regards
SEV-GATA, your union of the aviation industry
